About €400m will be available for arts and heritage projects under a new round of cultural funding from the European Union (EU).
Creative Europe replaces the Culture programme, which ran from 2007-13 and mainly supported initiatives that involved partnerships featuring at least three of the 37 eligible countries. The new funding stream brings together the EU’s culture and media programmes, with a total of €1.5bn available.
The Foundation for Arts and Creative Technology in Liverpool, Tate Modern, English Heritage, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Pitt Rivers Museum are among the UK organisations that received Culture funding.
An announcement about the criteria, deadlines and eligibility for Creative Europe is expected soon.
The seven-year initiative starts on 1 January 2014.
The UK Cultural Contact Point will host a session at the Museums Association conference (11-12 November) where delegates will hear more about Creative Europe.
There will be information on deadlines, eligibility, developing applications and building projects, as well as tips on finding partners.
