The Campaign for Drawing and the Family Arts Campaign will collaborate to produce the Family Arts Festival in the autumn. The festival, which will run from 18 October to 3 November, is designed to increase family participation in the arts. Organisations interested in taking part in the festival can register online.

National Museums Liverpool will have to wait until the summer for a final judgment in its dispute with AEW Architects & Designers, which was involved in the construction of the Museum of Liverpool. A high court hearing to resolve the dispute, in which NML is claiming damages, has been put on hold with the judge saying he will not deliver his conclusion for several months.


Artes Mundi, the UK’s largest art prize, is open for nominations. The international prize accepts nominations from artists of any age who are established in their own country and whose work deals with social reality, lived experience and the human condition. The work of the shortlisted artists will appear in the biennial exhibition at National Museum Wales in 2014. Last year Mexican artist Teresa Margolles (pictured) won the £40,000 prize.


The 10 poems created by poets in residence at museums and institutions across Cambridge were published last month. The Threshold project was the brainchild of poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
