Eureka!, the national children’s museum, has unveiled a £2.9m health and body-themed gallery. All About Me, which was developed with the support of a £1.45m Wellcome Trust grant, is designed to teach Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils about their bodies.


Tate has renamed its American Patrons of Tate as the Tate Americas Foundation to “more accurately reflect the independent charity’s role to support the acquisition of art from the Americas and expanding geographical base of support from North and South American patrons”. Next month, the foundation will host its third artist fundraising gala in New York, honouring 30 artists with work in Tate’s collection.


The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust is to make the collection of the Aston Martin company historian, the late Roger Stowers, accessible for the first time to mark the centenary of the classic sports car. The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has awarded the trust £71,000 to present an exhibition of photographs, design drawings, company accounts and documents relating to the car marque’s appearances on TV and in films.


Details of the first UK-wide family arts festival will be revealed later this month at a conference at Birmingham’s town hall. The festival, which takes place from 18 October to 3 November, is part of the Family Friendly Arts Campaign and is funded by Arts Council England.
