Anna Southall, former head of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA), has been appointed as a trustee of a new development trust overseeing fundraising for Bristol’s Museums, Galleries and Archives.
The development trust will lead the final phase of the funding appeal for M Shed, Bristol’s new museum, and oversee future fundraising for the entire museums service.
Southall, who is vice-chair of the Big Lottery Fund, is one of five trustees appointed to the new trust. Historian and former chair of the Heritage Lottery Fund for the south-west, Adrian Tinniswood, has been appointed chair of the trust.
