The the British Museum (BM) has received a £25m donation to help fund its new World Conservation and Exhibition Centre.
The money, which comprises £12.5m from Lord Sainsbury’s Linbury Trust and £12.5m from the Monument Trust, which was established by John Sainsbury's late brother Simon, will be used to fund the £125m centre designed by Lord Rogers.As well as hosting temporary exhibitions and housing new stores for the study collection, the centre will feature specialist conservation laboratories.
