Arts & Business and the Prince of Wales are seeking nominations from chief executives and development directors of arts organisations for the Prince of Wales Medal for Arts Philanthropy. Opening Up Spaces

The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council published a report last month on how museums can support self-organised learning groups. Opening Up Spaces showcases informal learning projects such as the one  pictured above hosted by the Petrie Museum in London.www.mla.gov.uk/what/publications 

Art Council goes digital

Arts Council England plans to create a digital gallery to allow the public to view its entire 7,547-piece modern art collection online by next year. Works in the collection, by artists such as Francis Bacon and Damien Hirst, are loaned to galleries and public spaces in the UK. So far, 1,500 paintings have been digitised.

Arts staff survey unveiled

The National Campaign for the Arts is inviting people working across the sector, from volunteers to trustees and chief executives, to complete a Cultural Workforce survey online. The aim of the research, which will be repeated annually, is to throw light on employment in the cultural sector. To participate, go to: www.artscampaign.org.uk
