Details of successful applicants to Effective Collections
Effective Collections has been the cornerstone of the MA’s work on collections since late 2006, with a £1m programme supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to make better use of collections.

As part of this work 34 Effective Collections projects have been funded since September 2009, with a range of types and sizes museums from across the UK being involved in the programme.

Museums and their partners were able to apply to either the main fund or a special project fund.

Main Fund

Funding of up to £10,000 for museums to review their collections, identify underused objects and to make better use of the objects through loans, transfers and/or alternative forms of disposal.
