Gillian Findlay has been announced as the new head of museums and collections for Culture Perth and Kinross, Scotland. She was previously the curatorial and engagement manager of Museums and Galleries Edinburgh.
Sharna Jackson has joined Site Gallery in Sheffield as artistic director, in a co-directorship role with the venue’s executive director, Judith Harry. Jackson has been working on a range of socially engaged digital projects in arts and culture.
Simon Wardell has been made museum director at the Weald & Downland Living Museum in Chichester, after holding the position of interim director.
Christine McLean has started a new role as heritage manager with Renfrewshire Leisure. She was previously the community engagement manager at National Museums Scotland. McLean will continue her work as a Museums Association representative in Scotland.
Joe Sullivan is now the London partnerships manager at the Natural History Museum, London. He joined from the Royal Air Force Museum, where he was the heritage outreach officer.
Catherine Hemelryk has been appointed the director of the CCA Derry-Londonderry. She was the artistic director of NN Contemporary Art in Northampton.
Sarah Price has been made the head of Locomotion in Shildon, managed by the Science Museum Group. She was previously the head of engagement and learning at Durham University.
The Box, Plymouth, has named Nigel Hurst as its head of contemporary arts as it nears its 2020 opening. He joins from the Saatchi Gallery, London.
