What attracted you to this post?

I was keen to be part of the local community after a few years of freelance work.

What does it entail day to day?

I look after the collections of social history, ethnography and decorative art together with my job-share partner. We divide our time between collections management and preparing exhibitions.

What’s been the highlight so far?

I am auditing the ceramics collection and have found some treasures, including a 13th-century Peruvian whistling pot and a Coalport vase encrusted with flowers.
