What attracted you to this post?
I’ve worked with the Heritage Lottery Fund, which funds the Sandford Award. It is an award for heritage sites with excellent education services. The role caught my eye because it focuses on professional development for staff and volunteers working in the heritage education sector. Working at the Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln was also attractive.
What does it entail, day-to-day?
Travelling across the East Midlands, planning and documentation. We run workshops for staff and volunteers, and plan to make a film with the award judges.
