Martin Brown has been made the head mechanic of the British Motor Museum, near Gaydon in Warwickshire. Brown has been working at the museum for 10 years, having started as a workshop apprentice back in 2005.

London Transport Museum has appointed Josef Hargrave as its futures fellow. Hargrave will offer insight into global and regional trends around transport. He is currently a consultant at Arup in the foresight, research and innovation team.

Andrea Stark has been appointed the director of Foundation for FutureLondon, a new charity that aims to fulfil the London 2012 Olympic promise of regenerating the area that surrounds the Olympic park. Stark was previously the chief executive of High House Production Park and executive director at Arts Council England.

Katie Stevenson has been appointed as the new keeper of Scottish history and archaeology for National Museums Scotland. Stevenson is currently a senior lecturer in late medieval history and the director of the Institute of Scottish Historical Research at the University of St Andrews.

Martin Purslow is now the chief executive of Weald & Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton, East Sussex. Purslow was the chief executive officer at the National Trust of Australia for 10 years and is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Modern Art Oxford has appointed Emma Ridgway as the head of programme, replacing Sally Shaw who becomes the director of Firstsite in Colchester. Ridgway played a key role in developing Modern Art Oxford’s 50th anniversary.
