What attracted you to this post?
The Caravan Club Collection is hosted by the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, so the opportunity to work at such a fantastic museum was attractive. The collection is also different from the others I have worked with.
What’s been the most interesting part of the job so far?
In 2015, we acquired a collection of photograph albums and ephemera related to a local caravan manufacturer, Hutchings of Winchester. It documents early horse-drawn vans up to the comparatively luxurious caravans of the 1950s and the social history associated with them.
