Asif Khan has been appointed to the Design Museum’s board of trustees.
Khan has a longstanding relationship with the museum having been one of its designers in residence in 2010, the designer of two exhibitions there in 2012 and a nominee for this year’s Designs of the Year award.

Sarah Staniforth has been appointed to the Heritage Lottery Fund South West committee. Staniforth, who worked for the National Trust from 1985 until 2014, joins six other members of the committee.

, the policy adviser for learning and volunteering at the Heritage Lottery Fund, has become the head of learning at the Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge.

Amgueddfa Cymru (National Museum Wales) has appointed Andrew Renton as its keeper of art. He was the head of applied art for National Museum Wales, and replaces Oliver Fairclough, who retired last month.

James Steward joined the History of Advertising Trust, Norwich, as its director in July. Prior to this, he spent 17 years at Norfolk Museums Service, most recently as an area manager.

Haley Sharpe Design has appointed one of its interns, Jack Biddle, as a full-time employee. Biddle completed a three-month internship last summer as part of his BA at Leeds Beckett University.

Hilary Burwell, a former development and research Officer at the National Galleries of Scotland, has joined Royal Bank of Scotland Archives as its art collection manager.
