What attracted you to this post?
It is not often you get to start from scratch in collections management. One recent addition to the council collection are the archives of the Tower Company, which includes collections for the Blackpool Tower and the Winter Gardens. It has posters, photos and records going back to the 19th century.
What does the job entail day to day?
At present, setting up new policies and procedures and writing the collections framework for all the collections, and working with the Blackpool Museum development team.
Qualifications
BA, MA heritage management.
