Kasia Redzisz is joining Tate Liverpool in January 2015 as its senior curator. She was previously in the curatorial team at Tate Modern.

Simon Cane is leaving Birmingham Museums Trust, where he was deputy director, to join University College London as its director of public and cultural engagement.

The Fusilier Museum in Bury has appointed Bill Longshaw, who has worked at the People’s History Museum and National Museums Liverpool, as its new activity plan coordinator and educator Jenny Mutch as its learning officer.

Esther Mann is the new curator of the Corps of Army Music Museum, which is based in Kneller Hall in Twickenham.

In two new year-long schemes designed to further the performance of baroque music, London’s Handel House Museum has appointed young professional musicians Cathy Bell, Katarzyna Kowalik, Caoimhe de Paor, Marie van Rhijn, Elspeth Robertson and George Ross to its Handel Talent programme. Edwin Hillier becomes the museum’s first composer-in-residence apprentice.

Alan Davey is leaving Arts Council England, where he is the chief executive, to join BBC Radio 3 as its new controller. Davey, who has been at the arts council since 2007, will join Radio 3 in the new year.

Annie Mauger, the chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals (Cilip), is to take up a new role as the director of National Business Units at the Chartered Institute of Housing. Mauger will step down as the chief executive of Cilip on 30 January 2015.
