Broadcaster and curator Tim Marlow joins the Royal Academy of Arts, London, as its director of artistic programmes this month. He was the director of exhibitions at White Cube, London.

Derby Museums Trust: Roger Shelley, the former principal keeper of collections, has joined Nottinghamshire’s Creswell Crags Museum and Visitor Centre as its new director.

Mike Galer, who was the senior collections officer, takes up a new job as general manager of Crich Tramway Village & National Tramway Museum, Derbyshire, this month.

Rebecca Wilson has been appointed as online gallery Saatchi Art’s chief curator and director of artist development. She is a former director of the Saatchi Gallery in London.

Richard Lambert becomes chairman of the British Museum, London, from 4 July for four years.

Emma Robertson has left Pallant House Gallery, Chichester, where she was head of communications, to take up a new post as head of press and PR at Brighton Dome and Festival.

Ten new apprenticeships at the Cumbria Museum Consortium have been created. The Tullie House apprentices are Anna Nixon (business), Katherine Wilkinson (collections and programming) and Dan McAuley (marketing assistant).

Lakeland Arts has Gemma Walshaw (finance) and Charlotte Wragg (curatorial administration assistant at Abbot Hall). Its visitor experience apprentice follows shortly. The Wordsworth Trust’s apprentices are Cameron Stewart, Molly Calveley and Callum Harrison (front of house), plus marketing assistant Hannahlise Morris.
