A memorial service will take place in June for curator Aneesa Riffat, who died in March. Aneesa’s family would like as many to attend as possible.
Aneesa was widely known and respected for her work as curator at the Beth Shalom Holocaust Centre in Laxton, where she engaged closely with Holocaust survivors and their families, and played a key role in transforming the memorial centre into a nationally styled museum.
At the time of her death, Aneesa was the senior curator and collections manager at the National Museum of Computing in Bletchley.
The details of the memorial service are as follows:
- Date: Sunday 23 June
- Time: 1300
- Venue: The Museum of Making, Silk Mill Lane, Derby DE1 3AF
Informal attire is requested.
Those wishing to attend are asked to confirm with Aneesa’s sister, Qudsia Iffat, at qudsia.iffat@googlemail.com.
