VocalEyes, a charity dedicated to making sure blind and partially-sighted people have the best possible opportunities to experience and enjoy art and heritage, has set up a free event search to connect its subscribers with audio-described performances and events in museums.

Museums are encouraged to submit the details of events designed to include blind and partially-sighted visitors and audiences, which will be displayed on the VocalEyes website.

Matthew Cock, the chief executive of Vocal Eyes, said: “We want to make sure we are fulfilling our remit to increase awareness for blind and partially-sighted people to experience museums, art, and culture across the country.

“We wanted to make this a one-stop-shop for museums and theatres, to support them and publicise their events for this hard-to-reach audience, connecting them through our subscription list.”
