The Wedgwood Museum has become involved in further litigation, but the nature of the action cannot yet be revealed for legal reasons.
Bob Young, partner at Begbies Traynor, the administrator for Wedgwood Pension Plan Trustee Limited, said: “A letter before action has been sent by my lawyers to a third party who is not being named while we are in the pre-action protocol period.
“The defendant’s lawyers have asked to have until July to respond. We will not be giving any more information unless the matter goes to court.”
Wedgwood Museum’s collections are under threat of sale to meet a £135m pension deficit inherited from the Wedgwood Pension Plan Trustee Limited, which went into administration in 2009.
