The Paul Hamlyn Foundation is funding a £5m national programme aimed at increasing cultural participation in, and access to, the arts by under-25s.
The programme, Circuit, launches in April, and is led by Tate, with five partner museums. It will comprise peer-led projects developed and delivered by young people, artist-led projects and outreach programmes.
The foundation said the emphasis would be on participation, aiming to build confidence in young people from a range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
The partner museums are Firstsite, Colchester; Mostyn, Llandudno; Nottingham Contemporary; Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester; and Wysing Arts Centre in collaboration with Kettle’s Yard, Cambridgeshire.
