The Contemporary Art Society (CAS) has asked members to respond to a survey mapping the conservation resources available to public collections.
Robert Dingle, the CAS’s national network and strategic projects manager, said: “It is useful to know which specialists work at which museums, and makes it easier to find opportunities to share resources and work more efficiently.”
The survey will feed into Testing Media, a new CAS scheme in partnership with the Art Fund, which will allow two CAS members to apply for up to £35,000 to support the acquisition of works that are difficult to display and conserve.
Expressions of interest should be registered with the CAS by mid-March.
