Fashion museum reopens

London's Fashion and Textile Museum, now part of Newham College, has reopened after financial problems caused it to close two years ago. The focus will be on education and professional development. It also includes a small permanent collection of the museum's founder, Zandra Rhodes, and an archive of 600 garments.

Ebbsfleet shortlist

Five high-profile artists - Daniel Buren, Richard Deacon, Christopher Le Brun, Mark Wallinger and Rachel Whiteread - have been shortlisted to create the Ebbsfleet Landmark. The artists' proposals for a £2m public art commission for Ebbsfleet Valley in Kent will go on show in the spring, with the winner set to be announced in the summer.

Interactive website

Manchester Art Gallery has teamed up with digital agency Prego to launch a website that allows children to interact with one of the museum's most famous paintings - Work by Ford Madox Brown (www.manchestergalleries.org/ford-madox-brown). Visitors to the site can listen to characters in the painting talk about Victorian life.
