National Museums Liverpool (NML) is to face further strike action by staff over pay. The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS), which represents 170 employees, mainly attendants, at NML, was due to strike at all the organisation's major locations one Saturday late last month.
PCS negotiation officer Jayson Sloss expected 140 members to join in the action. He said pickets would operate outside the main museums and "would have an effect".
An NML spokesman said: "We are disappointed that the union has decided to act on a busy half-term weekend." But NML anticipated that visitors would not be affected.
Sloss said management had carried out cleaning and security duties during previous PCS strikes. He added that staff received "poverty pay".
