The climate crisis affects all of us and museums across the world are increasingly aware of their role and responsibilities in this area.
Museums Journal is looking to publish case studies that highlight the practical ways museums can approach climate change. This might be by ensuring your museum moves to net zero carbon emissions as soon as possible, or by advocating for change to politicians and corporations.
Your focus might be raising awareness of the crisis among audiences, encouraging them to live more sustainably or to become active citizens campaigning for action – or a combination of all of these.
Whatever your priorities and wherever you are on the journey, Museums Journal wants to hear from you.
Case studies should be about 600 words long and seek to address the following:
- Details of what action your museum is taking and how this relates to your core aims or mission statement
- The challenges as well as any positive outcomes
- Your future plans
Please include your name, job title and organisation (if applicable) in your case study and any additional information such as budgets.
Please email your case study along with high-res illustrative photographs to rebecca.atkinson@museumsassociation.org.
