• Build users’ confidence by organising open evenings or training sessions with demonstrations of the different learning opportunities a box can provide.  
  • Use these sessions to exchange new ideas. Incentivise those attending by offering a box free of charge.
  • Put additional resources online, including videos and material suitable for interactive whiteboards.
  • Think about including sensory material such as sounds (CDs or Spotify playlist) or items with a distinctive smell, such as spices. These work well with older groups in the community and for people with visual impairments.
  • Provide the means by which the contents can easily be made into a display in the classroom or community centre, so that more people will see them. Supply laminated captions and Perspex casing for fragile items.
