Joe Sullivan has taken up the role of director at the Cartoon Museum, London, leaving his post as London partnerships manager at the Natural History Museum.

Amgueddfa Cymru (National Museum Wales) has recruited Kath Davies as director of collections and research, as it embarks on developing a new 10-year strategy. Davies, who was formerly a member of the Arts Council of Wales’s senior leadership team, will be responsible for the departments of art, history and archaeology, natural sciences and collections services.
Catrin Jones has left her role as curator at the Holburne Museum in Bath to become the chief curator of the V&A Collection at World of Wedgwood in Stoke-on-Trent.
The chief executive of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust, Bill Ferris, will retire this year after 19 years.
The British Motor Museum has made three senior appointments. Stephen Laing, who has been a curator at the museum for 25 years, has been promoted to head of collections. Cat Griffin has been promoted to the role of curator. She joined the Museum as an Arts Council England trainee in 2015 and was promoted to curatorial assistant in 2017. Charlotte Gallant has been promoted from deputy archivist to archivist.
Mayowa Ochere has been appointed to the board of trustees for the Horniman Museum and Gardens in south London. Mayowa is a policy adviser at the Treasury, and has previously worked for the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, and global communications firm Brunswick.
Malika Kraamer has left her post as curator for Leicester Arts and Museums Service to be curator of the African collections at the Museum am Rothenbaum in Hamburg.
The Foundling Museum, London, has appointed Simon Russell and Claire Jeffers to its board of trustees. A hereditary peer, Lord Russell of Liverpool spent 25 years as a partner at Spencer Stuart, an international executive search and leadership consulting firm. Jeffers joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 and is an executive director in the consumer and investment management division.
Liz Hide has been appointed as a trustee at Whitchurch Silk Mill. Hide is director of the University of Cambridge’s Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences.
René Olivieri has been named National Lottery Heritage Fund’s interim chair. Olivieri is a former chief executive of the international scientific and scholarly publisher, Blackwell.
