What attracted you to this post?
It has been a wonderful opportunity to begin a new role at the final stages of a major project backed by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
What does it entail, day to day?
Assisting researchers, organising events and devising new ways to promote the museum. I also work with a team of volunteers on museum documentation, give tours to overseas visitors, and present evening talks to a local group. One thing I have learnt is that my commute is easy compared to the miles John Wesley – the founder of the methodist movement – travelled on horseback.
