What attracted you to this post?
The opportunity to be the curator of a nationally significant maritime collection that will be the centrepiece of a £16m Heritage Lottery Fund project to build Windermere Jetty, Museum of Boats, Steam and Stories. As well as exhibition halls with amazing views over the lake and surrounding fells, the museum will include a conservation workshop and wet dock. To be involved at the start of this museum, which already has a world-class collection, is a dream for any curator.
