In the New Year honours list, David Verey, the outgoing chairman of the Art Fund, has been knighted. Michael Day, the chief executive of Historic Royal Palaces, has received a CVO.

CBEs have been awarded to Alan Davey, the former chief executive of Arts Council England; Jude Kelly, the artistic director of the Southbank Centre, London; Diane Lees, the director general of Imperial War Museums; Bridget McConnell, the chief executive of Culture and Sport Glasgow; Justine Simons, the head of cultural policy at the Mayor of London’s Office; and Sarah Staniforth, the former museums and collections director at the National Trust.

OBEs go to Diana Beattie, the director of the Heritage of London Trust; Janene Cox, the president of the Society of Chief Librarians; Faith Liddell, the director of Festivals Edinburgh; Bruce Minto, the chairman of the board of trustees of National Museums Scotland; John Newbigin, the chairman of Creative England; Katharine Riddell Pugh, the chief executive of the Heritage Alliance; and Martyn Wade, the former national librarian and chief executive of National Library of Scotland.

MBEs have been awarded to Ann Carter, the head of exhibitions at Imperial War Museums; Gurmel Singh Kandola, the chief executive of the National Sikh Museum, Derby; Patrick Morris, a volunteer with the National Trust; Carol Rogers, the executive director, education and visitors, of National Museums Liverpool, and the leader of the House of Memories project; and Andrew Wallis, the curator of the Guards Museum, London.

BEMs went to John Thomas, for voluntary service to the National Railway Museum in York; and Paul Evans, the curator at the Internal Fire Museum of Power in Tanygroes, Cardigan.
