How could anyone look at those two blue suits and four pink cheeks, and not know with every sinew of their being that coalition is the way forward?
No surprise at all then that the dynamic museum sector is running, not walking, to follow in their four shiny black-leather footsteps. Early days yet, and only a handful of announcements in, obviously, but where these pioneers lead many will certainly follow.
Lambeth Palace Library in association with the London Dungeon, henceforth to be known as the Lambeth Dungeon. The “attraction” promises visitors a unique experience, the chance to choose any former Archbishop of Canterbury to be tortured before your very eyes on the rack.
The National Trust in association with National Car Parks – free cream tea for every 4x4, Sports Utility Vehicle or Hummer parked on site.
Tate St Ives in association with Ginsters’ Cornish Pasties. The extension dedicated to the Barbara Hepworth, with mutton, swede, and a large hole in the middle, is already a marketing phenomenon.

The Royal Armouries in association with Smythson, to be known as Armoured Royal Smythson.
