Arts Council England (ACE) has opened two international funds as part of an £18m cultural export and exchange programme. The initiative runs from 2015-18 and aims to promote English arts and culture overseas.
The three-year £4.5m International Showcasing fund will invest £50,000-£300,000 in proposals from curators and producers who want to promote artistic work produced in England overseas.
There will be three rounds of funding and the first requires expressions of interest by 9 February, with full applications by 20 April. Organisations can apply on their own or in partnership.
The £1.5m Re:Imagine India fund supports artistic exchange and collaboration between artists, arts organisations and museums in India and England in the run-up to the 70th anniversary of Indian independence in 2017. It is part of the Re:Imagine Arts programme led by the British Council.
Grants of £15,000-£100,000 are available and the deadline for applications is 12 March.
The details of further funds to support cultural export and exchange will be announced later in the year.
ACE has two other international initiatives in partnership with the British Council. The Culture Diary profiles international arts activity online and Creative Europe Desk UK helps cultural organisations access European funding for work.
