Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) has two funding deadlines coming up this month.
The first is for its Small Project Fund, which offers grants of between £500 and £5,000 to help Accredited museums develop projects related to MGS’s national strategy. The deadline for applications is 11 October and the awards will be announced on 6 December.
The second is the Capital Fund, which offers up to £40,000 for projects such as building and display upgrades, major equipment purchases or conservation projects for existing facilities.
The deadline for applications is 25 October and the awards will be announced in late December.
The Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales has bursaries of up to £500 available from its Cefni Barnett Fund, which supports research or conference attendance.
It is open to those working in a museum that is a member of the federation. Conferences and seminars supported by the scheme would usually have to be arranged by a professional body and should relate to an area of relevant professional development. The deadline for applications is 11 October.
Lastly, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council have launched a £900,000 funding programme for projects delivered jointly by cultural organisations and community groups that reach people who are less likely to participate in culture and the arts because of social, economic or other barriers.
The closing date for applications is 29 November.
