Former Museum of London director Jack Lohman and National Museums Scotland director Gordon Rintoul are among the recipients of the Queen’s birthday honours.
Lohman and Rintoul were both given CBEs, as was Peter Barber, head of map collections at the British Library.
Victoria Pomery, director of the Turner Contemporary in Margate, bagged an OBE.
MBEs went to Peter Clowes, a trustee and curator at Wigston Framework Knitters Museum in Leicester; Sandra Drew, founder of Stour Valley Arts, Kent; Michael Freeman, a former curator of Ceredigion Museum; and Mala Tribich, an education volunteer at the Holocaust Education Trust and Imperial War Museum.
Also gaining MBEs were the co-directors of arts agency Artangel, James Lingwood and Michael Morris.
