A campaign to persuade the government not to make 25% cuts in arts funding has been launched with a video animation by David Shrigley.
More than 100 artists, including David Hockney, Damien Hirst and Anish Kapoor, are part of the initiative, which also includes an online petition.
A new work by an artist will released each week in the run up to the announcement of the government¹s comprehensive spending review in October.
The campaign is being organised by the London branch of the Turning Point Network, a national consortium of more than 2,000 arts organisations and artists that have joined forces to find new ways to support the arts.
