A series of space-themed events to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Neil Armstrong's lunar landing. Activities will include guided tours around the Science Museum's space exhibits and a "moon weekend" at the Royal Observatory.

American artist Jeff Koons' first major UK exhibition offers a trip into the surreal. The Popeye Series, which began in 2002, is based on the iconic cartoon figure. Paintings and sculptures combine everyday objects with cartoon imagery and inflatable toys, in an attempt to explore consumerism, taste, banality, childhood and sexuality.

The exhibition, which is on loan from the National Portrait Gallery, celebrates sporting heroes and heroines from the past 100 years. Works include Sam Taylor-Wood's digital recording of David Beckham Sleeping, as well as images of athletes such as Linford Christie and Kelly Holmes.
