Eleven staff at the Royal Institution of Cornwall (RIC) face redundancy because of cuts in Renaissance in the Regions funding.
A spokeswoman for the RIC, which manages the Royal Cornwall Museum and Courtney Library in Truro, said: "We have undertaken a restructure of the museum and library service. This reflects Renaissance funding cuts and reduced income from investments. The new staffing structure reflects the priorities of Renaissance and will support a more holistic [cross-departmental] way of working."
The job losses, some of them part-time, will be made across all areas, including collections and visitor services. The museum receives 60 per cent of its funding from Renaissance.
