Two projects related to last year's bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade are among 10 entries on the longlist for the Art Fund Prize for museums and galleries.

The International Slavery Museum in Liverpool opened in August and Breaking the Chains is a temporary exhibition on slavery at Bristol's British Empire and Commonwealth Museum.

The two other temporary exhibitions on the longlist are Sacred, at the British Library, and Helmand: The Soldiers' Story, at the National Army Museum.

The rest of the contenders are: The Lightbox, Woking; London Transport Museum; Pier Arts Centre, Orkney; the Wellcome Collection, London; Topsham Museum river gallery project, Devon; and Shetland Museum Archives.
