Wellbeing and Ableism Recommendations Report
We know that wellbeing is affected by others’ treatment, based on who we are and our lived experiences – so what impact does ableism have on workforce wellbeing in the museum sector?
Tamsin Russell shares the findings from the Museums Association’s new research into wellbeing and ableism, which highlights the experience of disabled individuals and makes recommendations to improve sector practice.
This session shares insights and recommendations for action – and provides opportunities for discussion around how individuals can take the findings back to their organisation or embed in their own practice.
1505-1520
Exploring wellbeing and ableism discussion
Delegates have the opportunity to discuss the findings of the research and its recommendations in small breakout groups. We will provide prompts to help guide your conversation. At the end of the discussion, all delegates will return to the main Zoom where there will be the chance to share your thoughts verbally or via the chat function.
Delegates who do not wish to take part in group discussions are invited to consider the research independently and may feed back if they wish to.
