The War and Conflict Subject Specialist Network (WCSSN), managed by Imperial War Museums (IWM), is a digital community for those exploring the heritage of conflict from 1914 to the present day.

With more than 1,000 individual members from the UK and overseas, we welcome those working for or alongside not-for-profit organisations, including museums and galleries, artists and educators.

Our e-newsletters offer sector updates and we invite members to share best practice on our blog. Our register also facilitates connections between members, enabling them to network and explore new partnerships.

Our priority this year is to enrich our digital toolkit repository by sharing lessons learned from the IWM 14-18 Now Legacy Fund. Working with more than 20 WCSSN partners, it is an exciting programme of new art commissions across the UK. Bespoke videos and digital resources will be made available to WCSSN members, including guidance on working
with artists and building meaningful relationships with communities.

Many members are also commemorating the 80th anniversaries of the end of the second world war. We will promote local, national and international events taking place, and signpost resources and historical assets to help WCSSN members plan and deliver their activities.
