Museums across the UK have had to rethink their visitor signage and wayfinding as a result of ongoing Covid regulations around social distancing, mask-wearing and hand washing.
Sharing good and new practice is an important part of Museums Journal, and we are looking to publish case studies from museums, galleries and other heritage bodies highlighting their approach to signage in a Covid world. This might include taking a creative response to the challenges or working in a particularly sustainable and cost-effective way.
Case studies should be about 600 words long and seek to address the following:
- What impact has Covid had on your signage and wayfinding?
- What have you done in response?
- The challenges as well as any positive outcomes.
- Your future plans.
- Any advice for other museums looking at this area of practice.
Please include your name, job title and organisation (if applicable) in your case study and any additional information such as budgets.
