The Welsh government has awarded grants totalling more than £2m to museum, archives and libraries across the country in a bid to encourage more people to use local services.
Museums received a total of £374,798 in extra investment, while capital funding of £987,000 was awarded to library services.
A £17,676 grant given to Monmouthshire Museums Service will help improve and digitise its collections.
Bodelwyddan Castle in Denbighshire, north Wales, will use its £39,000 grant to improve facilities for families.
The Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales received £37,000.
“Some of the grants to local museums encourage greater community engagement,” said a government press statement.
The funding programme is administered by Cymal: Museums Archives and Libraries Wales.
