Broadfield House Glass Museum in the Black Country has been temporarily saved from closure.

The museum had been under threat of being closed or moved to another venue in a bid to save Dudley council £130,000 a year. But after a public outcry, councillors voted unanimously against the closure.

Barbara Beadman, chairman of the Friends of the museum, said the outcome would give the museum "breathing space" to develop options for the future.

She added that one of the alternatives could be trust status for the museum.
