The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) faces growing pressure to answer questions about its financial troubles.
In Trust for Scotland, which has been set up by a group of concerned NTS members, has put a motion to the trust's annual conference calling for transparency from the board about the business case for the closure and redundancy programme.
The NTS, which has nearly 500 permanent and fixed-term employees, was about to make a statement on the number of properties and jobs affected as Museums Journal went to press.
A spokesman for the Prospect union, which represents staff at the trust, said he thought up to 200 jobs might be affected by the restructure. He said he understood that there would be 90 compulsory and up to 50 voluntary redundancies.
