Online sales lag behind
The growth in online sales of museum products is failing to keep pace with the overall trend in web shopping, according to a survey. Creative manifesto
Culture secretary Andy Burnham has launched a 12-point Manifesto for Creative Britain after consulting 3,000 11- to 19-year-olds from across the UK. Students asked for mentoring to help secure jobs in creative industries, less formality in schools, more internet access in the classroom and a choice between exams or coursework. Tate Modern supported the project with training days and a summer school.

The Department for Culture Media and Sport has launched a consultation on the protection of the UK's Unesco world heritage sites.
