in Langley, near Slough.

The Langley Academy
uses objects in the classroom, as well as emulating the “critical thinking strategies used by modern museum professionals”.

Modelled on the New York City Museum School, it uses techniques such as extended observation, analysis and reflection.
With 500 owned and loaned artefacts, its first exhibition takes movement as a theme. A museum learning club, run by students, will plan further displays.
The academy received support and guidance from staff at the River and Rowing Museum in Henley and the museum’s chief executive, Paul Mainds, is a governor.
