The MA is a dynamic membership organisation that campaigns for socially engaged museums and a vibrant and inclusive workforce.

“Being a rep was an honour, and also a lot of fun. It led to me becoming an MA board member, and subsequently chair of the ethics and nations committees. So, if you get the chance – go for it. You’ll learn a lot and also be able to influence how the MA works in your nation.” – Heledd Fychan, Senedd member for the South Wales Central region and former Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales

“One of the key benefits has definitely been meeting with a wide group of enthusiastic, passionate advocates for museums – my fellow reps – and this has been a real bonus (as well as the free conference places!).” – Megan Dennis, Curator, Norfolk Museums Service

“Being an MA rep was a transformative experience for me. It is a vital role to the success of the MA, so to have the opportunity to contribute to such a large, ambitious organisation was a great source of confidence. The experience was invaluable.” – Simon Brown, Curator, Newstead Abbey, and Co-manager, Erewash Museum

Disgrifiad swydd

Mae Cymdeithas yr Amgueddfeydd (MA) yn dymuno penodi un cynrychiolydd o blith aelodau Cymru, gan roi blaenoriaeth i rai sy’n gallu dangos bod ganddynt rwydweithiau yn y Gogledd/Canolbarth. Mae’n benodiad am gyfnod o dair blynedd.

Mae’r MA yn sefydliad aelodaeth deinamig sy’n ymgyrchu ar ran amgueddfeydd sy’n ymwneud â’r gymuned a gweithlu bywiog a chynhwysol.

Mae cynrychiolwyr yn ddolen gyswllt hanfodol rhwng yr MA a’n haelodau, gan helpu i gadw’r MA mewn cysylltiad â’r hyn sy’n digwydd yn yr amgueddfeydd a chyfathrebu â’r MA ac ar ei rhan.

Sut byddwch chi’n elwa?

  • Lle am ddim yng Nghynhadledd Flynyddol Cymdeithas yr Amgueddfeydd bob blwyddyn, gwerth hyd at £350
  • Lle am ddim yn ein cynadleddau undydd, Moving on Up a Don’t Stop Me Now bob blwyddyn
  • Ffioedd blwyddyn tuag at eich AMA neu FMA wedi’u talu drosoch
  • Cyfle i gyfrannu at bolisïau a phrosiectau’r gymdeithas fwyaf yn y Deyrnas Unedig o weithwyr amgueddfeydd proffesiynol

Nid yw’r cynrychiolwyr yn cael eu talu ond gallant hawlio costau teithio, y cytunir arnynt ymlaen llaw, i gyfarfodydd cenedlaethol/rhanbarthol a chyfarfod blynyddol y cynrychiolwyr.

Anogir cynrychiolwyr i hyrwyddo’r MA ar bwyllgorau a grwpiau cenedlaethol/rhanbarthol priodol ac i drosglwyddo gwybodaeth o’r MA i’r aelodau.

Ymhlith y sgiliau a’r nodweddion angenrheidiol i fod yn gynrychiolydd mae:

  • ymwybyddiaeth gref bolisïau’r MA ar lefel leol a chenedlaethol a diddordeb yn y maes
  • sgiliau cyfathrebu da, yn cynnwys y gallu i siarad mewn digwyddiadau ac ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol
  • y gallu a’r parodrwydd i gymryd amser o’r gwaith i fynychu cyfarfodydd
  • y gallu i gyfathrebu â’r aelodau
  • y sgiliau i gyflwyno adborth yn gryno ac yn wrthrychol

Rhaid i ymgeiswyr fod yn aelodau unigol cyfredol.

Bydd yr MA yn hysbysu’r holl gynrychiolwyr am gynlluniau, materion a gweithgareddau perthnasol a bydd yn trefnu cyfarfodydd chwe-misol i roi gwybodaeth i’r cynrychiolwyr a rhoi cyfle iddynt drafod eu rôl gyda’i gilydd a gyda’r MA. Telir treuliau am ddod i’r cyfarfod hwn.

Bydd aelod o staff yr MA yn cael ei bennu i fod yn bwynt cyswllt i chi ac i’ch cefnogi yn y gwaith.

Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer ymgeisio yw 9 Rhagfyr 2022.

Cewch wybod rhagor am gynrychiolwyr presennol yr aelodau yma: https://www.museumsassociation.org/about/your-reps/

Rydym yn croesawu ceisiadau gan bobl o wahanol gefndiroedd yn cynnwys pobl ag anableddau, pobl o liw, pobl sy’n arddel hunaniaeth LHDTCRh+ a phobl o wahanol gefndiroedd economaidd-gymdeithasol ac addysgol.

Diddordeb? Dyma beth mae cynrychiolwyr blaenorol wedi’i ddweud am y rôl…

“Roedd bod yn gynrychiolydd yn fraint, ac yn hwyl. O ganlyniad i hynny cefais fod yn Aelod o Fwrdd yr MA, ac yna’n Gadeirydd y pwyllgorau Moeseg a’r Cenhedloedd.  Felly, os cewch chi’r cyfle – ewch amdani.  Fe ddysgwch lawer a chael cyfle i ddylanwadu ar y ffordd y mae’r MA yn gweithio yn eich cenedl chi.” – Heledd Fychan

“Yn sicr, un o’r prif fanteision oedd cyfarfod â grŵp eang o bobl oedd yn mynd ati’n frwd ac yn angerddol i hyrwyddo amgueddfeydd – fy nghyd-gynrychiolwyr – roedd hynny wir yn fonws (hynny a chael lle am ddim mewn cynadleddau!).” – Megan Dennis

“Roedd bod yn gynrychiolydd yr MA yn brofiad trawsnewidiol i mi.  Mae’n rôl sy’n hanfodol i lwyddiant yr MA, felly roedd cael y cyfle i gyfrannu at sefydliad mor fawr ac uchelgeisiol yn hwb mawr i fy hyder.  Roedd yn brofiad amhrisiadwy.” – Simon Brown
