Showcase your good practice

Our wellbeing campaign aims to:

  • Work with museums to raise awareness and showcase good practice so that they can put in place programmes and support for their workforce and for the communities they serve
  • Work to improve wellbeing within the workforce through advice, support and programmes
  • Work with museums to actively support community wellbeing

As part of this commitment, we create and publish resources on our Wellbeing Hub, provide advice, and run events – for example, Members Together Online: Wellbeing on 24 September.

We want to share good practice and would like to add new content to our case studies on wellbeing. These can include interventions and support for staff, volunteers and freelancers, and cover more specifically things put in place to assist those supporting community programmes.

A suggested case study structure is outlined below:

  • Background to the organisation, project or intervention
  • What was put in place?
  • What was the result?
  • What were the learnings or legacies?
  • What soundbite would you like to share?

Case studies should be around 300-600 words. Please also include an image for your case study where possible, and contact details for the project (these will not be published on our website).

Please send your completed case studies to cpd@museumsassociation.org by 28 September 2026. If you would like to speak to a member of the MA team beforehand, please email Tamsin Russell, workforce development lead, via tamsin@museumsassociation.org.
