Humanitarian Support Fund
We are grateful to the Museums Association’s Benevolent Fund trustees for agreeing to establish a Humanitarian Support Fund.
Over the past year the Benevolent Fund has supported colleagues in Ukraine and those that have been displaced, and we are extending that support to others facing humanitarian crises.
We have worked with the International Council of Museums (ICOM) to ensure that funding is targeted to colleagues in need, for example those affected by the February 2023 earthquake in Türkiye and Syria.
To donate to the Benevolent Fund Humanitarian Support Fund please visit our donation appeal page.
Please see below for information on two schemes in place to support Ukrainian museum professionals.
ICOM Poland scheme
The MA’s Benevolent Fund provided funds to support the provision of 20 grants of 850 Euros to ICOM Poland’s scheme to assist Ukrainian museum professionals in Poland.
MA memberships for Ukrainian colleagues
We are also offering 100 free two-year MA essential memberships to any Ukrainian museum colleagues affected by the conflict. If you wish to apply for a free membership, please email email@example.com.
We will share this offer as widely as possible, but please also share with your networks.
