The Landi Company, based at Burghley House (Stamford), specialises in providing textile conservation services to historic houses, museums, churches, military organisations, and individual clients. Our services including condition assessments and surveys, interventive treatment, collections care, IPM, annual housekeeping, and display, mounting and storage. The company handles a variety of objects, from the very small to the incredibly large, including tapestries, embroideries, costume and accessories, upholstery, ecclesiastical textiles, lace and white-work, painted textiles, banners, and state beds. Work can be carried out onsite, either behind-the-scenes or in the public eye. We also provide guidance, advice and training on caring for textiles.
