Kimyo is a website that helps children (and adults!) explore and engage with local museums. For low-income museums our platform is free to use. Kimyo users can search for things that they want to see by topics of interest or by location. Kimyo also contains a section for educators, with lesson plans that can be used with the items and locations on the website, aiming to encourage children to explore museums outside of school visits. Museums can log in and update their items listed on kimyo whenever needed to adapt to their exhibitions. Kimyo is advert-free.
